Chicken tending tips straight from the mouth of a 5-year-old!

Snacks for Chickens
You shouldn't feed chickens all kinds of foods because you don't know if they will get sick or not.  Type on the computer "What kind of snacks can my chickens eat?" and it will tell you which food they can eat or can't eat.

These are some of the foods that I know chickens can eat:
oatmeal
yogurt
watermelon
cherry tomatoes
strawberries
raspberries
blueberries
lettuce
kale
broccoli
eggs that are cooked

These are some of the foods that I know chickens CANNOT eat:
chips
crackers
chocolate chips
cake
cupcakes
candy

Thank you, Little Chicken Tender, for the chicken snack list.  For a more accurate list of foods that are safe/unsafe for your chickens I suggest you visit Tilly's Nest

Thanks for reading!  Stay tuned next week for more chicken tips from Little Chicken Tender.

  1. Too cute. I love all the tips you have for your chickens. I'm almost tempted to get a chicken to two myself.
