Tips From Our Junior Blogger: Feed Chickens Pumpkin Seeds

Tuesday's Tip From Our Junior Blogger
Chicken tending tips straight from the mouth of a Kindergartener!

Feed Chickens Pumpkin Seeds

I learned [From Fresh Eggs Daily] that if chickens eat pumpkin seeds it helps them so that they don't have worms in their poop. You can take the seeds out of the pumpkin and then feed it to your chickens or you can make your chickens pumpkin soup.  To make the soup use some plain yogurt and grind up some pumpkin seeds from your Halloween pumpkin. Put the soup in half of your pumpkin and then just give it to the chickens.  They will eat the pumpkin bowl, too!

The recipe for Pumpkin Soup can be found at Fresh Eggs Daily.
