Chicken tending tips straight from the mouth of a Kindergartener!

Chick Checklist

This is the chick checklist.  It will help you know what to get for your chicks.  You should have these things:

Brooder Box - For the chicks to stay in until they grow enough to go outside

Chick Food - For the chicks to eat

Feeder - For the chicks to eat out of

Waterer - For the chicks to drink from

Thermometer - To see how many degrees the brooder is

Heat Lamp - It keeps them warm

Pine Shavings - For their bedding

Your chicks will come home in a box.  Your brooder has to be set up before you go get the chicks so that when you get home your chicks won't be scared and peep a lot in the box while they wait for you to set it up.
