Foods to Avoid for Chickens



Apple Seeds - They have a little bit of poison in them.

Asparagus - It can make their eggs taste funny if they eat this.

Avocado - All the parts can be poisonous to the chickens.

Dry Beans - If you cook or sprout beans then it's ok to feed beans to your chickens.

Caffeine - Don't give them things like chocolate.

Citrus - They may not lay a lot of eggs if they eat oranges and lemons.

Dairy - It's ok if they eat a little bit of yogurt, but not much.

Eggplant - You can feed a little bit of this to your chickens only if it is cooked.

Onion - These can make them sick.

Potatoes - These can make your chickens really sick.

Rhubarb - This is poisonous.  Even the leaves.
