As I mentioned earlier this week, my husband I am are in the middle of transforming our muddy, dark, depressing backyard into a peaceful, chicken-friendly (hopefully!) yard. I am attempting to train my chickens (or as Scratch and Peck Feeds calls it, bribe!) to stay away from our newly planted shrubs. So far it has been a success and we have only had one mishap. One of our newly planted shrubs got a bit trampled. The chickens weren't interested in eating the plant, but instead were wanting to scratch through the new soil. Solution? Rocks around the border and we haven't had a problem since! Things are coming together nicely and I can't wait to show you more of what we have done!
